Terms and Rules

Thank you for visiting TRU PRO's Tennis Fan Talk community message board ("Forum", "We", "Us", or "Our"). This document outlines the policies ("Policy") that govern your participation and use of this platform. Our aim is to foster a respectful, inclusive space for passionate tennis discussions from gear and strings to the pro tours and beyond.

Participation on this Forum is voluntary and free of charge, but subject to the terms outlined below, in addition to TRU PRO's general Terms of Use as published on our website.

Any violation of these rules may lead to content removal and/or temporary or permanent account suspension. TRU PRO reserves the exclusive right to determine what constitutes a breach of policy and the consequences of such breaches.

All Participants on this Forum MUST be over the age of 13.

BY USING THIS FORUM, YOU AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY, AND HOLD TRU PRO, ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS HARMLESS FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS, DAMAGES, OR LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION, CONTENT SUBMISSIONS, OR VIOLATION OF THESE RULES OR APPLICABLE LAWS.

TRU PRO retains the right to manage the legal defense of any claim covered under this clause, and you agree to fully cooperate in any such defense.

Forum Behavior Guidelines

As a member of the TRU PRO Tennis Fan Talk Forum, you are solely responsible for the content you post. This includes all text, images, media, usernames, avatars, and any other user-generated content ("Posted Content").

You agree that all contributions:

  • Are public and non-confidential
  • Comply with local and international laws
  • Are respectful, civil, and tennis-relevant

Username & Avatar Rules

  • Only one account per user is permitted
  • No political, religious, or impersonating usernames (e.g., RogerFederer is not allowed, but FedFan22 is acceptable)
  • Avatars must not contain edited player images, political/religious imagery, or offensive content
  • Avatars may not be used to imitate or mock other users

Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior
  • Posting private/confidential content of others
  • Uploading obscene, defamatory, or illegal material
  • Promoting pyramid schemes or unlawful conduct
  • Sharing exploitative or harmful content, especially involving minors
  • Collecting personal data without explicit consent
  • Advertising or soliciting without prior written permission from TRU PRO
  • Posting commercial content, discount codes, or sponsored media
  • Uploading intellectual property without proper rights or authorization
  • Impersonating other users, public figures, or TRU PRO staff
  • Disrupting the flow of conversations or flooding threads
  • Posting malicious code, viruses, or conducting hacking attempts
  • Engaging in off-topic thread bumping or trolling
  • Circumventing moderator decisions by reposting deleted content

YouTube & Social Media Links

We allow users to share non-commercial tennis-related YouTube videos. However, content promoting brands, logos, discount codes, or sponsorships falls under self-promotion and is not permitted without prior approval. This rule applies to all external links including blogs, social platforms, and personal websites.

If you would like to represent your business or brand officially, please contact the admin for account approval.

Buying & Selling

All sales or trades must occur in designated marketplace sections (if available), and must comply with specific guidelines approved by TRU PRO moderators. Unauthorized sales will be removed.

Intellectual Property Rights

Do not share any content that infringes on third-party copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets without written authorization. If you suspect infringement, please refer to our DMCA Notice for reporting instructions.

Reporting & Moderation

Use the Report button responsibly to flag rule violations, not to disagree with opinions or content you dislike. Abuse of the report function may lead to disciplinary action.

To request your own post be edited or removed, please contact the moderation team.

Prohibited Topics

Certain subjects will be automatically removed to maintain a healthy community space:

  • Unproven doping allegations
  • Politics or religion
  • Attacks on player appearance, private lives, or identity
  • Offensive nicknames
  • Mass memes/images that overwhelm threads
  • Posting junior player discussions (unless turned pro)

Warning & Ban System

Violations will be handled through escalating actions:

Warning Count Action Taken
1st Warning Post removed, warning issued
2nd Warning Post removed, warning + ban notice
3rd Warning 1-week ban
4th Warning 1-month ban
5th Warning Permanent ban

Severe violations may be assigned more than one point at a time. Warning points do not expire but gaps between infractions will be taken into account during reviews. You may appeal any ban by contacting the admin at the address listed below.

Moderator Roles

TRU PRO assigns moderators to ensure compliance with this Policy and foster a respectful environment. Moderators are authorized to:

  • Review, edit, move, or remove content
  • Issue warnings and impose suspensions
  • Lock, restrict, or close threads as needed
  • Report serious violations to administrators or legal authorities

Moderators act on behalf of TRU PRO but do not offer legal or professional advice. Their decisions are final unless reviewed and overturned by a TRU PRO administrator.
