I have a mid aged student and while the goal is to skill up to enjoy beginner tennis, there is a lack of commit. Do coaches often have students that are sort of just showing up and that is enough for them? I am new to coaching but don't feel great about just hosting students at my price without their commit to play proper tennis. How do others handle this scenario?

Based on our experience working in junior development for 20 years, this is very common. Teach good fundamentals, but keep it fun. Not every junior tennis player has to become a college player. More important is to structure the lessons in a way to keep them in the sport
